Admissions Process

  • Fill out the application form

  • Attach an essay setting forth your reasons for applying, an assessment of your strengths and weaknesses as an applicant, and significant events of your life, your experience as a Christian, and your relationship the the church.

  • Attach your letters of recommendation from your pastor, an academic advisor, and a non-relative layperson. Married applicants must also send a letter of support from their spouse.

  • Attach official transcripts from each former educational institution you have attended.

  • After a student’s application materials have been received and assessed the applicant may be invited for an in person or video interview to complete their application. 

Admission to the Diploma program or to the M.T.S. is usually the first degree in theology or Christian ministry. For an M.T.S. degree, a bachelor's degree in any subject, with some formal academic theology, for example, a certificate or diploma in theology and at least three years of documented ministry experience is required. Students may be required to do prerequisite reading in order to be granted acceptance.

Educational Format

Each semester, you will have online meetings every Thursday and three  in-person seminar days (3 days) per semester with a residential faculty and a visiting lecturer. In addition to these regular, full-cohort meetings, you will have ongoing one-on-one tutoring sessions with your faculty mentor.

  • 2.5 hour meeting every Thursday (6-8 meetings throughout the semester)

  • In-person seminars with visiting lecturers (3-4 over the course of the semester)

  • One-on-one sessions with your faculty mentor
